2018 Spring Break Camps and Activities in the Valley of the Sun

It’s March and Spring Break is almost here for students everywhere in Arizona. Whether your child has spring break early in the month or during the last week, you may want to find fun and educational activities for a few days while they are out of school. This is a list of various types of camps in places throughout the Valley of the Sun.

Desert Foothills Youth Theater – A Seuss-i-fied Spring Break Camp!

For young actors and creative kids ages 5 – 7

Join the Desert Foothills Youth Theater for this one week half day camp filled with theater fun! Play games, do activities, perform, and create a play based on our favorite Dr. Seuss classics. Give the kids a Dr. Seuss theater break for Spring!

Arizona Science Center Spring Break Camp – CAMP INNOVATION: Wonders of the World

Grades K–5

March 12–16 & March 19–23, 2018

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Discover the wonders of the world through science! Learn about wildlife, get a close–up look at volcanoes and explore geology, architecture, biology and more!

Daily Fee: $55 Members, $65 Non–Members

Weekly Fee: $ 255 Members, $295 Non–Members

Desert Botanical Garden “Reduce, Reuse and Reimagine” Spring Break Camps

Grades K-5

March 12-16 & March 19-23, 2018

8:30 am – 3:00 pm

The Desert Botanic Garden spring break camps are a great way for your kids to explore the Sonoran Desert during the most beautiful time of year. In March 2018, our campers go green by learning creative ways to help the desert landscape while exploring the Garden. Snacks included. Campers must bring their own lunches.

Cost: $175 members, $210 non-members
Extended camp (3-6 p.m.) available for $16/day members, $20/day non-members

Phoenix Herpetological Society – Junior Keepers Program

Ages 9-16

Tuesday-Friday, March 13-30, 2018

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Each full-day camp focuses on a specific group of animals (lizards, reptiles, crocs or snakes) and includes physical activity and STEM activities. Campers will participate in animal care.

Cost: $75/day; discount for multiple days

Beginners Edge Sports Training – Youth Sports Spring Break Camp

Ages: potty-trained-10 years old

Tuesday-Friday, March 12-16, 2018

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Get ready for some FUN! Kids will be learning and playing the following sports: soccer, softball, basketball, football, volleyball, dodge ball, golf, tennis, kickball, track & field and badminton. Plus: Relay races, capture the flag, newcomb, scooter hockey, scooter soccer, frisbee, 4-square, 2-square, bump out, sprout ball and many more playground games & activities. Don’t forget our bounce house, obstacle courses and scrimmaging!

Cost: $40-$65/day or $180-$225/week. Extended hours available at $10/hour.

Engineering for Kids

Ages 4-14

Beginning March 12, 2018

Engineering for Kids programs are hosting camps around the Valley. Contact them for the camp near you. All camps include STEM-enrichment activities with hands-on in aerospace, mechanical and chemical engineering, robotics, video game design, Minecraft and more.

Phoenix Center for the Arts – Spring Break Camp 

Ages 6-12 (grouped by age)

Tuesday-Friday, March 12-16, 2018

9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Students will receive professional instruction in visual and performing arts. There will be a performance on the evening of the last day to showcase all that the campers have learned. Campers are grouped by age; age groupings may vary based on the age range of enrolled campers. A small performance will be held on the last day of the session, so campers can demonstrate what they’ve been working on!

Cost: $220 (includes materials); $15 off each additional sibling. Before and after care available for $30.
